2023 Fall Celtic Festival
September 23 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pmFree
The 2023 Fall Celtic Festival (formerly Oakville Irish Cultural Day) at Toronto Rock Athletic Centre, 1132 Invicta Dr. Oakville
The Fall Celtic Festival is an outdoor event showcasing Irish culture, heritage, and arts within the community. The event features local Irish/Celtic musicians, food, crafts, language, folklore, art, history, sports…and more! It is a festival that exhibits how Irish heritage is deeply engrained in popular culture today, and displays all the Irish community has to offer the wider community.
Irish cultural artists are featured in our event through the presentation of Irish/Celtic music on our main stage. We have a number of Irish/Celtic bands perform on our stage, as well as young up-and-coming artists from local arts schools. Irish dancers from schools all over the GTHA and the northeastern US take to our stage for our Parade of Champions.
The local community is engaged through the participation of Girl Guides of Canada (who run an Irish craft booth), volunteers operate a face-painting booth, the Toronto Rose of Tralee will attend, and Tourism Ireland offers promotional materials for Ireland travel. Our beer tent is staffed by a local brewery (Cameron’s) whose headquarters is steps away from our festival location.
Inside, the Oakville Feis (the Irish Dance competition that runs alongside our festival brings in hundreds of North America’s best Irish dancers, and students learning the art and competing for the first time. Spectators will be able to take in the competition as well as the festival for free, and learn all about Celtic culture.
