Irish Set Dancing in Toronto

Our next ceili will be held on Saturday, October 19 at 8 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 3591 Dundas Street West.  Music will be provided by Eli Howard and Friends.  Angela Bontje will call the dances.

Please join us for another great night of music and dancing. The cost is $25 for dancers and $15 for non-dancers.  Contributions for the refreshment break are always welcome.

November 15, December 27, January 18, February 15, March 8, April 5, May 3 and June 7.

Toronto Irish Set Dancing is excited to announce that we have been awarded the New Horizons for Seniors Grant 2024 for our innovative project, Sets for Seniors.  This grant enables us to empower senior citizens through meaningful engagement, physical exercise and fostering a vibrant and inclusive community. We are grateful to the Government of Canada for their trust and investment in our mission to engage and inspire our senior dancers.

Our journey began in the spring of 2023 when a passionate group of dancers came together with a shared love for Irish culture and dance. Inspired by the legacies of groups like Reel Blast and Open Door Ceilidhs, who paved the way before us, we aim to uphold and celebrate the spirited tradition of Irish set dancing in our community.

It’s a lively social activity where strangers become friends and newcomers are welcomed with open arms. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a curious beginner, there’s a place for you in our group.
