May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Annette Collins
Self-employed teacher of dance & music
Teacher in the area of traditional Irish music and Old Style step dance

Pre-covid, she contributed to a number of programmes, working in dance with both the able bodied and disabled; as well as teaching into a local traditional music programme, and teaching music privately.

Since Covid she has been teaching Irish Traditional Dance to adult classes – online.  She is thrilled with the uptake to date, with people attending from around Ireland, England, mainland Europe, Canada, US and even Japan.  Many of the students did not have access to this type of dancing before, and have enjoyed learning the repertoire and meeting other like-minded souls online.  Many of the foreign students have roots in Ireland, and others have signed up due to their interest in Irish Culture/Dance.

She has had great reviews and feedback about her courses, you may wish to have a look at her website too – links below.

Her current online programme is teaching an old form of – what you would know as Irish competitive dancing, mostly danced by children.  The footwork in this old form of dance, stays close to the floor and people of all ages can participate.  She, herself, took up traditional Irish Step dancing 16 years ago, at the age of 40.

Also included is a video/trailer for her upcoming block of online classes, a 5-week term – 4 levels of tuition from beginner up – to let you see what she does.  She also has a presence on social media – links below.
